When visiting the park, what is the one thing you must do? Ride a certain ride, get a churro, watch a parade, or just go to a certain place

Hands down, i have to ride space mountain.  Even if i do work that attraction its always fun to ride it especially when I'm not in costume.

Well, one thing that I had to do but can't do anymore that has to do with space mountain is when getting in line and entering from the outside the first wall to your left was special.  It was special because you could take a penny, place it on the wall and it would stick there.  With no adhesive.   I only got to try this once in 1999.  It really did work and I freaked some curious bystanders out when I did it.

But onto what you have to do now.  For those that have never been there I recommend getting there about 30 minutes before the park opens.  They will let you into Main Street. Take in the ambiance of this land and pay attention to all the details.  It is truly remarkable.  Then when the park is ready to open you will have the treat of hearing the opening announcement which sets a great mood for the rest of the day.  Now, since this is your first time, do not go wondering off looking for a ride.  Walk straight to the statue in the hub.  This is a statue of Walt and Mickey with all the Disney characters surrounding him.  Take in what you are seeing and realize that what you are about to experience all started with him and a mouse.
It is so important to know that the park is more than a place to ride rides.  If you really try to appreciate it for more than that you will have  a much more fun filled experience.

Now what I have to do.  It is to ride Pirates.   I have so many fond memories of this ride.  It was the last and best ride Walt was directly involved in making.  It Truly is the Gem of Disneyland and represents everything Walt wanted in a ride.
